The Parramatta Light Rail (PLR) project consists of 12 kilometres of a two-way track connecting Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD. The D&C contract was awarded to the CPB Downer Joint Venture. Vaughan Civil has successfully completed numerous multi-utility treatment packages of work across several areas of the project for the CPB Downer JV. Total value of work completed by Vaughan Civil was $35m. The project was made up of several work packages.
Sydney Water Potable Water - Installation of one kilometre of PE DN630 DN250 & DN180 water main relocation up to three metres deep including the transfer of all property services. Sydney Water scope also included capping & cutting of potable water mains at Lennox Bridge Watermain works.
Utility relocation at Church St, Parramatta—relocation of 25 m of OD914 MSCL water main four metres deep under a 2-week traffic closure in the centre of Parramatta CDB.
Endeavour Energy Low and High Voltage - Completing LV & HV network relocations, installing protections, and identifying and removing redundant assets.
Jemena Low/Medium Pressure - Complete civils works, installation of new pipeline, relocation of LP & MP gas crossings & Networks on Church St.
Telstra - Relocation and installation of three kilometres new Telstra bank through Church Street and Macquarie Street including coordination of Telstra for commissioning new network.
Aarnet/Optus/UECOMM/Verizon - Various works including all required civil works, pit & conduit installation, transfer of services, mechanical protections & asset removals.Vaughan Civil has undergone several external audits to successfully secure the following accreditations, certifications and memberships.
