Vaughan Civil have been involved with Enviro Pacific’s Hickson Rd upgrade since October 2017 providing Survey, DBYD Utility Locators and plant labour and equipment for investigation works, wet hire civil works, Survey Set Out and Pick Up and design clash detection.

Complexity

The Hickson Rd Upgrade is built on land that was identified to have levels of contamination that would be dangerous to the public when the ground is disturbed. As a result works are conducted in “the red zone”, a fully enclosed site where workers wear protective clothing and breathing apparatus at all times.

The added difficulties in operating equipment including excavators and survey equipment inside protective suit and breathing apparatus is testament to the skills sets and tenacity of our surveyors, utility locators and operators.

Our surveyors and utility locators use a range of equipment and software including Mala GPR and Concrete Scanners, Trimble Total Stations, RD Locating units and 12d and Auto Cad Software.

To provide site with instant could based reports we have worked with Onsite to develop a locating and survey report that can be emailed to our clients directly from site. This is usefull for permits, tracability and interim data while waiting for reductions and model updates.
